KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project Officer/Administrator will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and timelines.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, and other project-related events.
- Ensure that project tasks are carried out according to the established plan.
- Maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, project reports, and correspondence.
- Keep project records organized and accessible.
- Facilitate communication among project team members and stakeholders.
- Act as a point of contact for project-related inquiries.
- Assist in the allocation and management of project resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment.
- Identify and document project risks.
- Ensure that project deliverables meet established quality standards.
- Provide general administrative support to the project team.
- Schedule meetings, book venues, and handle other logistical arrangements.
- Address day-to-day challenges and problem-solving within the scope of the project.
- Escalate issues to the project manager when necessary.
- Ensure that the project activities comply with relevant policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Contribute to project evaluations and lessons learned sessions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS FOR POSTION
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and experience:
Your knowledge, experience & skills:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related field is often preferred.
- 1 – 2 years of experience in project coordination, administration, or a related field. (Preferable at NGOs/iNGOs).
- Familiarity with project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Understanding of project life cycles and the ability to contribute to project planning and execution.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, including attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient use of office software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
