SPNL is currently looking for candidates to fill the position of:
Position: Content Creator English & Arabic
Department: Communication & Marketing Department
Reporting to: Head of Communication Department
Employment Type: Full-time
Contractual Period: Three years, renewed annually (3-month probation period)
Salary: 500 USD/month

Founded in 1983, the Society for the Protection of Nature of Lebanon (SPNL) is one of the oldest environmental non-profit organizations in Lebanon. As Birdlife International partner, SPNL uses birds as a natural entry point for conserving wider nature and natural resources. Our mission centers on protecting Lebanon’s nature and expanding the Hima community-based protected areas, where communities are sustainably and equitably using and restoring their natural resources.

Overall Purpose of the Job

We are looking for a content creator in English & Arabic to be responsible for the creation of content such as media releases, blogs, and social media posts on behalf of our organization. You will also be monitoring media and campaign coverage and attending internal and external events.

To be successful as a Content Creator in English & Arabic, you should be an excellent communicator with outstanding attention to detail. Ultimately, a top-notch content creator should be able to create effective media content and multitask.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Adding new posts to the website once they are ready to be published. Note: no coding skills are required, but this will involve building web pages with WordPress.

Preparing and Sending Newsletter using Mailchimp

Editing visual materials for SPNL Social Media Accounts using Adobe Photoshop and/or InDesign or similar software;

Managing social media, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and Linkedin accounts;

Promoting SPNL’s advocacy messages around specific projects on social media and SPNL’s campaigning messages around specific cases;

Assisting the communications manager in organizing events and with the management of SPNL's external image.

Tracking projects and media exposure.

Updating Contact lists.

Education and Competencies  

Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field.

A minimum of one year of relevant professional experience in communication. Experience in working with multi-stakeholders (NGOs, government, UN agencies, municipalities, etc) is an asset.

Extremely detail-oriented and organized to ensure flawless execution.

Strong written and verbal communications skills to effectively work with both the team internally and create client-ready reports, as well as assist with adapting and optimizing copy for paid and organic digital advertising efforts.

Strong written and verbal communication skills (English and Arabic)

Other helpful skills include

Understanding of digital advertising technologies with an ability to quickly jump into new platforms.

Proficient working knowledge/certification of Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, and Google trends (Kenshoo is an asset).

Understanding of paid social platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn interface, and features.
