الوصف:

The Child Protection program has the aim of providing psychosocial support for children and their caregivers to enable them improving resilience and promoting positive coping mechanisms, facing hard situations and stressful events and incidents. It ensures that vulnerable people are supported and empowered in order to keep them safe. The case worker will work in close coordination with the Field Coordinator, Social Worker, psychotherapist on the required and assigned tasks. The Case Worker will be based in Amel center as part of the Child protection team.

Main Role and Responsibilities
 Work closely with the CP team to develop and lead the project activities. Provide Child Protection case management, including direct psychosocial support, to
vulnerable beneficiaries, particularly at-risk children and adolescents, in accordance with best practices and international standards.
 Case management services will involve assessing needs, developing an action plan, referring individuals to appropriate services, implementing the action plan, safety plan and ensuring proper follow-up and case closure as necessary and following the national SOPs.
 Support the identification of vulnerable targeted groups, including home visits, internal and external referrals, and cooperation with other stakeholders.
 Ensure that the POC's data is filled out and stored in an appropriate protection information system in compliance with data protection policies, while also maintaining confidentiality.
 Flag all high-risk cases in which judicial intervention is required to the case management supervisor or/ and the technical person and ensure they are referred
immediately;
 Attend monthly supervisory meetings to verify adherence to core standards and appropriate case management.
 Actively contribute to the upkeep of an up-to-date service mapping of the service providers operating in the implementation area; with the assistance of team members.
 Inform the case management supervisor and/ or program coordinator about deficiencies in CP response services and referral protocols.
 Attend case reviews to ensure that all actions taken fits in the bets interest of the child.
 Ensure accompanying the child to any service provision (rehabilitation, mental health, etc.…), if required and requested.
 Adopt and apply all the monitoring and evaluation tools related to the different project activities.
 Prepare and submit reports and documentation for activities in a timely manner and report directly to the case management supervisor.
 Coordinate with the entire team, especially the psychotherapist, to ensure that proper and holistic services are offered to the identified vulnerable groups.
 Coordinate with the field coordinator and Case management supervisor while keeping them in the loop of the cases.
 Assist in providing age-appropriate psychosocial support sessions in mobile and static-safe spaces.
Other duties
 Adhere to the principles and guidance of the National CP Case Management and SOPs, including mandatory reporting requirements;
 Attend and participate in local and capacity-building trainings throughout the year;
 Complete all online courses requested such as interagency coaching program from the program coordinator throughout the year;
 Be available to attend and participate in internal and external meetings; Meetings with other program staff are required and will be on a timely basis;
 Maintain positive relations with other team members;
 Ensure the utmost confidentiality of the beneficiary data and information;
 Maintain flexibility to apply and undertake any other task related to the project, and required by the center coordinator and/or case management supervisor and/or CP Officer.

Position Requirements, Qualifications and Skills
 Master or Bachelor degree in Social Sciences, Social work, Psychology, Humanitarian Affairs, International Development, or another relevant field.
 At least 3 years practical experience in implementing CP projects at international or national NGOs.
 Demonstrated knowledge and experience in provision of case management service and support to CP survivors.
 In depth knowledge of Child Protection in the humanitarian context and familiarity with the main CP core concepts and tools.
 Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within multi-cultural environments; ability to work within a team structure or independently, flexible, and can cope with stressful workloads and working with limited resources.
