Through INARA, USAID seeks to increase the supply of electricity generation at the community level and to increase the cost-effectiveness, eco-friendliness, sustainability, and reliability of power supply, while clarifying and strengthening the enabling environment for renewable energy-based electrical power generation.
The project will run for 5 years and started in September 2021. The position is based in Beirut, Lebanon. This position will start in October as full-time employee contract.
Role and Responsibilities
The Community Engagement Associate will work under the Community Engagement Manager to coordinate the day-to-day community activities of DT Global INARA program all over Lebanon.
He/she will participate in relevant INARA deliverables, meetings, MEL events, communication briefs, implementation updates as needed. We are looking for an energetic team player with strong interest or background in the Renewable Energy development sector.
Specific duties include:
- Coordinating Community activities in INARA Interventions
- Supporting in the coordination of the Town hall Meetings and Trainings
- Frequent field visits to different locations of INARA Interventions
- Ensuring proper documentation of assessments and review of Community interventions.
- Supporting in Data collection and research (demographics, beneficiaries, social indicators, etc.)
- Analyzing, organizing and reporting on large amounts of collected data
- Coordinating and communicating with municipalities and communities
- Ensuring that supporting documentation for M&E is secured and accurate
- Other tasks as directed by the supervisors
Required and Preferred Qualifications:
- A bachelor degree or post graduate degree in relevant field
- Excellent Knowledge of English and Arabic.
- Excellent reporting, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Familiar with MS office, in specific Excel and PowerPoint
- Previous experience in handling data and data analysis is a plus
