The Centre for Lebanese Studies is looking to recruit a Designer / Social Media Designer. The advertised position is junior level.
Job Description and Main Responsibilities:
- Design visual material in Arabic and English for the publication and dissemination of the Centre's research outputs (publications, presentations, social media posts, reports, infographics, posters, website material, etc…)
- Design social media content across platforms (including the production of short social media videos)
- Maintain and develop the CLS visual identity
- Respect CLS inclusive design principles
- Work together with the research and media teams to create attractive infographics and visual scripts from research findings
- Be an active part of the Media and Communications team
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in any related field
- Be based in Lebanon
- Be familiar or interested in the topics we work on
- Two years of relevant experience
- Fluent in Arabic and English
- Creative
- Believes in the CLS mission and ethics
- Ability to design attractive social media content
- Ability to design reports and publications
- Ability to tell stories visually and using infographics
- Willingness to think together on new formats and ideas to better showcase research
- Ability to work in video formats is a plus
The Designer / Social Media Designer will report the above activities to the Senior Media and Communications Specialist.
