Project Background:

The USAID/Lebanon Trade and Investment Facilitation (TIF) Activity facilitates the export of Lebanese goods and services to generate foreign exchange through investments and through reforms of the Business and Investment Enabling Environment (BIEE) that simultaneously promote job creation, income generation and improved livelihoods throughout the country.

TIF has three objectives:

(1) Increased exports of Lebanese goods and services.

(2) Investment facilitation leading to increased domestic investment.

(3) Improved business and investment enabling environment.

Purpose: 

The Communications Officer, under the guidance of the Senior Communications Specialist, will raise awareness about the project among stakeholders and the general public and by positioning USAID’s work in supporting economic growth in Lebanon.

This position requires significant travel throughout Lebanon, specifically outside of Beirut.

Responsibilities and Key Tasks: 

• Support TIF’s communication’s strategy.
• Assist with content development and production; help manage TIF’s social media channels.
• Monitor, track, analyze and report on social media platform performance; suggest content optimization.
• Follow-up on TIF’s ongoing activities and communication needs.
• Support event organization and preparation.
• Update and organize TIF’s communications tools and materials.
• Ensure USAID branding usage and compliance throughout the project.
• Support with other communication-related tasks.
• Conduct partner site visits and attend business partner activities and events.

Qualifications: 

• A university degree in communications, journalism, multimedia or in a related field.
• Minimum three to five years of professional experience in communications, social media or any related field.
• Excellent knowledge and best practice usage of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.
• Demonstrated experience producing and editing videos.
• Demonstrated experience in photography.
• Proficiency using editing programs.
• Advanced language proficiency in Arabic and English.
• Experience in working with bi-lateral donors (USAID).
