Scope of work: The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer’s responsibility is to coordinate and support the implementation of monitoring and evaluation of several project activities to be conducted by the Results Framework. The M&E Officer will be working closely with the project manager.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)
- Develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection, and evaluation procedures;
- Monitor all project activities and progress toward achieving the project output;
- Assist in routine data collection and entry for various interventions implemented in the field and ensure that data is complete, accurate, clean, and consistent;
- Draft the data analysis and action planning;
- Recommend further improvement of the logical framework;
- Develop, monitor, and evaluate the impact indicators for the project’s success;
- Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results;
- Provide feedback on project strategies and activities;
- Suggest strategies for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks;
- Prepare the M&E monthly reports, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all project activities;
- Provide inputs, information, and statistics for quarterly, annual, and other reports;
- Prepare and provide data to the Activity Info platform;
- Assist in developing operational monitoring tools (checklist, questionnaires, databases, interview, and survey forms, etc.)
- Develop indicators and a monitoring strategy for the project;
- Participate in annual project reviews, writing new proposals and planning workshops and assist in preparing relevant reports;
- Assist in coordinating across the available components of the Project to ensure effective implementation of M&E;
- Train and assist the project personnel with M&E tools and technically support them in their use through capacity building and mentorship activities in data collection and cleaning;
- Assist in the preparation of reports on the findings and lessons learned from project innovations.
