Position Overview:

The Field Officer will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring the project trainings in the training center. Moreover, the Field Officer will be making field visits and coordinating closely with the Project Coordinator to ensure the successful implementation of the HWT project. Furthermore, the Field Officer will support the team in preparing reports, if required.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Outreach potential participants in Beirut and Mount Lebanon with the support of volunteers;
  • Follow-up on the project enrollment process;
  • Support the Project Coordinator in planning and implementing project activities within the agreed upon timeline;
  • Contribute to the project day to day activities, follow up on the project progress, and report back any emerging opportunities / risks;
  • Ensure that all training related material is available in the training center;
  • Support the team in the preparation and distribution of kits;
  • Support the team in the preparation of graduation ceremonies;
  • Follow-up with the project trainers to ensure that reports, attendance sheets, procurement lists, and pre / post tests are submitted on time;
  • Attend project trainings and conduct field visits as deemed necessary;
  • Ensure apprenticeship opportunities for 40% of the graduated project participants;
  • Ensure the proper distribution of cash assistance to 40% of the graduated project participants and SMEs; and
  • Ensure the employability of 25% of the most qualified project participants.

Please note that the above job description incorporates the main job duties. Other emerging tasks might be assigned as necessary.

 

Key working relationships:

  • Work closely with the Project Coordinator and other team members.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High-school diploma;
  • Proven 3 years of experience in the humanitarian sector;
  • Previous experience in livelihood; and
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
