-Function responsibilities include:

• Ensuring all electrical installations in MSF facilities comply with MSF standards and performing autonomously and ensuring, all necessary complex / advanced electrical installations, maintenance and repairs, according to the supervisor’s instructions. This includes the following tasks.
• Carrying out critical rehabilitation tasks and corrective maintenance interventions and the coordination and execution of required tasks as well as installation of needed electrical equipment as defined by each project. Elaborating the necessary documentation for carrying out energy installations projects (plans, list of materials, etc.)
• Carrying out and updating the electrical installations inventory in MSF missions’ facilities and performing annual maintenance procedures and safety checks across facilities in the project. Executing any needed tests after any repair or maintenance.
•  Identifying local technical actors, and organizing their participation in the project (training of technical staff, establishing relations with local companies, contractors and suppliers, quotations, contracts, etc.)
•  Making suggestions regarding any repair or maintenance work needed in MSF electrical installations and equipment and assisting logistics department with any urgent support/advice or any relative work needed
• Managing the stock of consumable items related to electrical installation, repairs and maintenance, filling in the stock cards, carrying out physical stock inventories, executing orders necessary for renewing stock, avoiding any shortage
• Responsible for the equipment and tools (including extinguishers), checking they are correctly and safely used, maintaining and renewing them when necessary and keeping the inventory updated.
• Keeping working area clean and tidy.
• Ensuring that all record sheets and books related to maintenance are always completed and prepares needed reports before and after any repair or required maintenance.

-Specific activities:

• Implement MSF electrical standard in Bekaa project in all locations Office/warehouse, Guest house, Arsal clinic and Hermel clinic and other activities within Bekaa project when needs.
• Ensure the electrical installations are safe and secure in the hospital wards, offices, guest houses and warehouses.
• Ensure the electrical needs are sized with the generator’s capacity.
• Ensure the electrical layout for each location is in place and up to date.
• Correction of any unsafe installation is a must and immediate.
• Random connections check and rearrange.
• Regular check for the breaks and their functionality.
• Grounding functionality check and installation where needed.
• Phases load balance, wire sizing and safe connections.
• New electrical installation for new constructions.
• Upgrade the old breakers to proper sizes where needed.
• Check and maintenance for the solar system in terms of load, balance, need, and sizing.
• Control panel check and maintenance, Labeling of the panels
• RCCB / RCD regularly check for functionality.
• Check the need for the backup system and do the needed sizing for installation.
• Regular electrical maintenance for the premises.
• Documentation for all the electrical works.
• Indoor wiring sizing.
• Outdoor wiring safety and protection
• Identifying the electrical risk and do the preventive measures.
• Working with the electricity manager and implement the recommendations
• Replacing of electrical devices like Switches, Sockets, cables, …
• Performing the regular electrical check according to MSF schedule

-Required qualification:

Education

• Essential: Lebanese Technical Baccalaureate Certificate (BT3) in electricity
• Desirable: Lebanese Technical License Certificate (LT) in electricity
• Desirable: Recognized formal electricity training.

Experience

• Essential:  A minimum of 2 years of previous work experience in a similar position
• Desirable: Previous experience with local or (I)NGO’s

Languages

• Essential: Full professional proficiency using the Arabic Language
• Essential: Limited to full professional proficiency using the English language

Knowledge

• Essential: Basic computer literacy (MS-Word, MS-Outlook, MS-Excel)
