الوصف:

OBJECTIVES

  1. Coordinate data collection efforts, between REACH and assessment partners.
  2. Support with technical set-up of the assessment including data protection, tool coding, partners training and data cleaning activities.
  3. Support with FLAT-related needs on an ad-hoc basis.

FUNCTIONS

    1. Coordination of data collection:
  • Support with data collection planning (sampling frame, data monitoring tool, set-up of communication channels between REACH & partners, implementation of data protection protocol).
  • Review data monitoring tool and update assessment team as needed to adjust sampling strategy.
  • Give debriefings to partners data collectors as needed, to ensure data collected matches REACH quality standards and guidelines.
  • Coordinate relevant FLAT needs for data collection if any.
  1. Technical set-up:
  • Support with coding of KOBO tool.
  • Support with partners training on good practices to conduct data collection.
  • Download data on daily basis and update monitoring tools.
  • Provide and collate daily feedback on dataset for cleaning purposes, implement data cleaning steps.
  • Support with translation activities (quantitative and qualitative tools and data).
  1. Safety and Security
  • Follow ACTED safety and security protocols and norms inside the country.
  • Follow ACTED code of conduct in country.
  • Communicate any security incidents immediately to the relevant senior staff.
  • Ensure that data collected is removed from paper or smartphone platforms as soon as the data has been transferred to the REACH senior assessment staff.
  • Ensure the privacy and security of the information collected in the field.
  • Protection Mainstreaming
  • Promoting of and adhering to Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse policy and guidelines (for site residents, ACTED staff, partner agencies, casual labors etc.).

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • % of assessments according to correct quality completed per day
  • % of downloaded data at end of each day
  • % of data cleaned per day
  • % of outputs effectively translated
  • Quality of data collected
  • % of coordination and organization on the field

Technical Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in humanitarian or development organizations, preferably in Lebanon.
  • Willingness and ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced field environment for extended periods of the time required
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (social science, development) required
  • Experience using KOBO for quantitative data collection
  • Experience coordinating with external operational partners
  • Experience conducting qualitative interviews
  • Experience reviewing dataset, conducting data quality checks and following up with data collection teams to promptly collate feedbacks.
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to operate in a cross-cultural environment requiring flexibility
  • Written and spoken fluency in English and Arabic required.
