Job Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Social Worker is to select and train community members who will disseminate information in their community and implement awareness sessions reaching a total of 1600 women. Additionally, the role includes managing referrals, following up on cases, and coordinating with service providers to ensure comprehensive support for the community.

Community members will be trained on safeguarding, safe referral pathways, and gender-based violence (GBV) awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

The social worker is responsible for:

• Ensuring that the training curriculum is effectively delivered and aligns with the project's objectives.
• Providing ongoing support and mentorship to the community members after the training sessions.
• Collaborating with local stakeholders and community leaders to promote the awareness programs and increase participation.
• Follow up on referrals to confirm that individuals receive the necessary assistance and support.
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with local service providers, including health services, legal aid, and social support organizations.
• Attending and participating in relevant coordination meetings to stay updated on available services and resources.
• Establishing and maintaining a dedicated hotline for referrals and ensure the hotline is operational and accessible during designated hours.
• Answering calls from community members and provide accurate information, initial support, and appropriate referrals to callers.
• Compiling regular reports on hotline activity; Use data to identify trends and areas for improvement in service delivery.
• Maintaining record keeping for all calls.  Includes, caller details, nature of the issue, and actions taken; Ensuring confidentiality and securing storage of caller information.
• Maintaining accurate records of training sessions, participant attendance, and progress reports.
• Providing regular updates and detailed reports to the South Projects Coordinator on the referral management, and overall impact.

Job Requirements:

•   Holder a Bachelor degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in social work, training, or community outreach programs, preferably in GBV or safeguarding.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational & time management abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to use his/her own car and move independently.
• Very Good knowledge or written and spoken Arabic and English.

The successful candidate will need to be detail oriented, empathetic, having a strong work ethics and a strong sense of confidentiality and integrity, able to work under pressure, with excellent ability to meet deadlines, in addition having a good Knowledge of local cultural and social dynamics in South Lebanon.
