أكدت السفارة الفرنسية في بيروت على أهمية الانتخابات البلدية والاختيارية لعام 2025 في لبنان، معتبرةً أن هذه الانتخابات تمثل محطة أساسية لإعادة تفعيل الحياة الديمقراطية في البلاد.

“إن إرادة الحكومة اللبنانية في تنظيم هذه الانتخابات، التي طال انتظارها منذ عام 2022، ومشاركة الناخبين الفعالة تعكسان التزام المواطنين بحقوقهم ومسؤولياتهم الوطنية، مما يعيد لبنان إلى مسار الحياة الديمقراطية الحقيقية. كما أن سير عملية الاقتراع بشكل نزيه وشفاف يعزز احترام الاستحقاقات الدستورية.”
يمثل هذا الموقف الفرنسي جزءًا من الدعم الدولي المستمر للبنان، خصوصاً في مجالات إعادة بناء مؤسسات الدولة، احترام الاستحقاقات الدستورية، وتشجيع تداول السلطة على كافة المستويات. هذه الخطوات تؤدي إلى تعزيز الثقة الداخلية والخارجية في مسار الدولة اللبنانية.
واختتمت العملية الانتخابية البلدية يوم السبت، مع إجراء الجولة الرابعة والأخيرة في محافظتي الجنوب والنبطية، وسط مشاركة متفاوتة ومتابعة أمنية وتنظيمية مشددة لضمان نجاح هذا الاستحقاق الوطني.

The French Embassy in Beirut emphasized the importance of the 2025 municipal and local elections in Lebanon, describing them as a crucial milestone in revitalizing the country's democratic life.
In an official statement posted on the Embassy’s X (formerly Twitter) account, it was noted:
“The government's determination to hold these elections, long-awaited since 2022, along with active voter participation, reflects citizens' commitment to their rights and national responsibilities, returning Lebanon to a genuine democratic path. The smooth and transparent conduct of the voting process further reinforces respect for constitutional mandates.”
This French position aligns with ongoing international support for Lebanon, especially in areas related to rebuilding state institutions, upholding constitutional commitments, and encouraging power rotation at all levels. These efforts enhance both domestic and international confidence in Lebanon’s state trajectory.
The municipal elections concluded on Saturday with the fourth and final round held in the South and Nabatieh governorates, amid varied voter turnout and stringent security and organizational measures to ensure the success of this national milestone.
