General objectives and Tasks:

1. Evaluation of the children’s hygiene:

  • Conduct daily visits for the children in the daycare and classes to verify and control the condition of the children (clothes, ears, nails, hair for lice…).
  • Complete an evaluation and follow-up form for every child.
  • Ensure the necessary treatment for each child (clean the nasal mucosa…).
  • Ensure the cleanliness of children’s hands after each toilet visit, following meals, and, when needed.
  • Check the children's bags (cleanliness, weight…).

2. Evaluation of the units’ hygiene:

  • Conduct daily tours and checkups to make sure everything is clean and well well-maintained
  • Verify the cleanliness of equipment and materials (microwave, sink, baby bottles, sterilizer …)
  • Ask the cleaning agent for assistance when needed.
  • Take good care of the equipment and medicines used and necessary for the daily operation.

3. Administrative management of files and training:

  • Report immediately to the unit manager in the presence of any problem related to the unit or any child.
  • Provide assessments of a sick or injured child’s needs.
  • Call and follow up with parents in case of a medical emergency.
  • Maintain records of each child’s physical development.
  • Supervise any accommodation necessary to serve children with special needs.
  • Fill out the medical records of every child in coordination with the parents.
  • Keep the unit’s volunteers and parents informed about health care with an emphasis on preventative care.
  • Provide basic hygiene training to parents.
  • Train the units’ staff when necessary and mainly new employees on things such as sanitary diaper changing and proper hand washing procedures.
  • Follow up on the children’s situation with the parents.
  • Make sure that children attend their paramedical sessions.

4. Other administrative tasks and duties:

  • Track the attendance of the children on a daily basis and make sure that the attendance is well documented to share with MOSA.
  • Track the attendance of the staff and make sure that all staff leaves are documented on a daily basis.
  • Track the parents’ payments on a daily basis.
  • Track the stock of cleaning and record all the used and needed materials.
  • Attend and participate in all required meetings and trainings.
  • Complete other assigned functions as requested by management.
