Job Purpose:

Basmeh & Zeitooneh is seeking dedicated and experienced Exam Support Teachers to assist Grade 12 students in preparing for their final official examinations in Hermel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background knowledge of target subject including content, curriculum, competencies and skills, excellent teaching and communication skills, and a passion for helping students achieve academic success.

Responsibilities:

1. Developing Exam Preparation Materials: Design, create or use comprehensive exam review materials, including official sessions, practice tests, worksheets, and study guides, tailored to the specific curriculum and official assessment requirements of Grade 12

2. Delivering Instruction: Conduct engaging and interactive exam support sessions to reinforce key concepts, problem-solving strategies, and exam-taking techniques. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

3. Providing Individualized Support: Offer personalized assistance to students who require extra help understanding challenging topics or navigating exam-related anxiety. Provide constructive feedback on student performance and progress.

4. Monitoring Progress: Assess student understanding and progress through formative assessments to identify areas of strength and weakness and adjust instruction accordingly.

5. Fostering a Positive Learning Environment: Create a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and collaborating with their peers. Encourage a growth mindset and promote self-confidence while learning.

6. Collaborating with Colleagues: Coordinate with other teachers and staff to align exam support activities with curriculum goals. Share best practices and resources to enhance student learning outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in one of the targeted subject (Mathematics, Biology, Economics and Sociology)
• Teaching certification in targeted subject is preferred.
• 5 years of experience teaching targeted subject at the high school level, with a focus on Grade 12 curriculum and exam preparation.
• Strong knowledge of targeted subject concepts, competencies and skills relevant to Grade 12.
• Familiarity with formats and procedures of the official exam, particularly those used for Grade 12.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed academically.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and school administrators to support student learning goals.

Schedule and Compensation:

• This is a part-time job that may include morning or afternoon shifts to accommodate the schedule according to students’ availability

• Compensation is per executed hours
