كشفت رئيسة نقابة مصانع الأدوية في لبنان، كارول أبي كرم، لموقع Leb Economy أن لدى مصانع الأدوية اللبنانية مخزونًا من الأدوية الجاهزة يكفي حاجة السوق لحوالي 4 أشهر، ومواد أولية تكفي لما بين 6 إلى 12 شهرًا. أما مصانع الأمصال، فهي على جهوزية تامة، ويمتد مخزونها ما بين 4 إلى 6 أشهر، والمواد الأولية الخاصة بها تكفي لأكثر من عام، وبالتالي هي قادرة على تغطية حاجة السوق دون أي انقطاع، مشيرةً إلى أن النقابة على تواصل وتنسيق مستمر مع وزارة الصحة وتشاركها بمعلومات عن مخزونها بصورة دائمة.

ورداً على سؤال، أكدت أبي كرم أن التحدي الوحيد أمام القطاع في حال تأزمت الأوضاع يكمن في استمرار تأمين مادة الفيول للمصانع لتستمر بالإنتاج شأنها شأن المستشفيات.

وعما إذا لوحظ ارتفاع الطلب على الدواء بهدف التخزين، قالت أبي كرم: “إن التهافت طبيعي، لكننا نحاول بقدر الإمكان ضبط الوضع وتطمين الناس بأن المخزون متوفر، فمصانع الأدوية تضبط مبيعاتها للصيدليات كي لا يتكون لديها تخزين احتياطي ولا حتى في البيوت، وذلك للاستمرار بتأمين الدواء لجميع الناس الذين بحاجة إليه.”

وأوضحت أن حركة النزوح لا تعني أن استهلاك الدواء سيزيد، وبالتالي سينقطع من الأسواق، إنما هو سيزيد في منطقة يكثر فيها النزوح ويتراجع في القرى التي خلت من سكانها، مما يعني أن الحاجة ستنتقل من منطقة إلى أخرى. وعليه، لا داعي للهلع والتخزين لأن حاجة السوق ستبقى ثابتة.

وفي رد على سؤال حول ارتفاع الطلب على الدواء بهدف التخزين، قالت أبي كرم: “إن التهافت على شراء الدواء طبيعي، لكننا نحاول بقدر الإمكان ضبط الوضع وتطمين الناس بأن المخزون متوفر، فمصانع الأدوية تضبط مبيعاتها للصيدليات كي لا يتكون لديها تخزين احتياطي ولا حتى في البيوت، وذلك للاستمرار بتأمين الدواء لجميع الناس التي تحتاج إليه.”

**Nothing to Worry About: Important Information on Drug Stock in Lebanon!**

The President of the Association of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers in Lebanon, Karol Abikaram, revealed to Leb Economy that Lebanese pharmaceutical factories have a stock of ready-made medicines sufficient to meet market needs for about four months, and raw materials that can last between six to twelve months. Vaccine factories are fully prepared, with a stock that lasts between four to six months, and their raw materials can last for over a year, thus they can cover the market's needs without any interruption. She pointed out that the association is in continuous contact and coordination with the Ministry of Health and regularly shares information about its stock.

In response to a question, Abikaram confirmed that the only challenge facing the sector, in case the situation worsens, lies in ensuring the supply of fuel to the factories to continue production, just like hospitals.

Regarding whether there has been an increase in demand for medicines for stockpiling, Abikaram stated, “The rush is natural, but we are trying as much as possible to control the situation and reassure people that the stock is available. Pharmaceutical factories regulate their sales to pharmacies to prevent them from having excess stock, even in homes, to ensure the availability of medicines for everyone in need.”

She clarified that the movement of displacement does not mean that drug consumption will increase, and thus it will not be depleted from the markets; rather, it will increase in areas with high displacement and decrease in villages that have emptied of their residents, meaning that the need will shift from one area to another. Therefore, there is no need for panic or stockpiling as market demand will remain stable.

In response to a question regarding the increased demand for medicines for stockpiling, Abikaram reiterated, “The rush to buy medicines is natural, but we are trying as much as possible to control the situation and reassure people that the stock is available, as pharmaceutical factories regulate their sales to pharmacies to avoid creating excess stock, even in homes, in order to continue supplying medicine to all those in need.”
