أعلنت المديرية العامة لقوى الأمن الداخلي ـ شعبة العلاقات العامة، اليوم الخميس، عن نجاح مفرزة زحلة القضائية في وحدة الشرطة القضائية في توقيف شخصين على خلفية قضية ابتزاز شهدتها المدينة.
بدأت القضية بتاريخ 21 مايو 2025، حين تقدمت إحدى المواطنات بشكوى تفيد تعرضها لابتزاز عبر اتصال هاتفي من رقم خاص “private”، حيث هددها مجهول بنشر صور وفيديوهات حميمة تجمعها بخطيبها، مطالبًا إياها بمبلغ 200 دولار أمريكي مقابل عدم النشر. وتم دفع المبلغ عبر صديق المدعية، المدعو م. ج. (مواليد 1998، لبناني)، الذي أشار إلى أن المبتز هو ع. م. (مواليد 2002، لبناني).
وفي 23 مايو 2025، وبنتيجة تحريات مكثفة وبإشارة من القضاء المختص، قامت دورية من مفرزة زحلة بمداهمة منزل ع. م. في منطقة قب الياس، حيث تبين أنه مطلوب بجرم سرقة بموجب مذكرة توقيف غيابية. وخلال التفتيش، عُثر على كمية من المخدرات، بينما أنكر ع. م. ارتكابه جريمة الابتزاز.
وبمتابعة الرقم المستخدم في الابتزاز، تم تحديد م. ج. وتمت مداهمة منزله في منطقة شتورا وتوقيفه. وأقر م. ج. بالادعاءات المتعلقة بالابتزاز خلال التحقيق.
تم اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة بحق الموقوفين، وأودعا المرجع المختص بناءً على إشارة القضاء المختص.
“Internal Security Forces Crack Blackmail Case in Zahle, Arrest Two Suspects and Seize Drugs”
The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division announced on Thursday the successful operation by the Zahle Investigation Squad of the Judicial Police Unit, leading to the arrest of two individuals involved in a blackmail case in the city.
The case began on May 21, 2025, when a female citizen filed a complaint claiming she was blackmailed via a phone call from a private number. The perpetrator threatened to release intimate photos and videos involving her and her fiancé unless she paid $200. The amount was paid through a friend of the complainant, M.J. (born 1998, Lebanese), who identified the blackmailer as A.M. (born 2002, Lebanese).
On May 23, 2025, following intensive investigations and a judicial directive, the Zahle squad raided A.M.’s residence in Qabb Elias, discovering he was wanted on an outstanding warrant for theft. Drugs were also seized during the search, though A.M. denied involvement in the blackmail.
Tracking the number used in the blackmail led to M.J., whose residence in Chtaura was raided, resulting in his arrest. He admitted to the blackmail charges during interrogation.
Legal measures were taken against both suspects, who were subsequently handed over to the competent authorities based on judicial instructions.
