في خطوة تهدف إلى تعزيز الاستقرار الإقليمي والداخلي، أجرى رئيس الحكومة اللبنانية، الدكتور نواف سلام، اتصالًا هاتفيًا مهمًا مع الرئيس السابق للحزب التقدمي الاشتراكي، وليد جنبلاط، شددا فيه على ضرورة الحفاظ على وحدة الأراضي السورية وقيام التفاهم بين جميع أبنائها تحت مظلة الدولة السورية.
ووفق بيان صادر عن المكتب الإعلامي لرئاسة الحكومة، أكّد الطرفان على أهمية التوازن، والحكمة، والتعقل في التعامل مع التطورات الراهنة، سواء في سوريا أو داخل لبنان، لاسيما تفادي أي انفلات أو ردود فعل قد تثير توترات داخلية بين أبناء الوطن الواحد.
وأشار رئيس الحكومة إلى دوره البارز في تحصين السلم الأهلي في لبنان، مشيدًا بـ”الجهود التي بذلها جنبلاط وكثير من الفاعليات السياسية والاجتماعية في شتّى المناطق اللبنانية”، والرامية لتفادي أي إشكالات داخلية تضرّ بالوحدة الوطنية واستقرار البلاد.
وأكد سلام أن “إعادة الدولة لاستعادة سلطتها ومرجعيتها تُعدّ المدخل الأساس للخروج من الأزمات القائمة”، مشيرًا إلى أن التضافر الوطني وحصْن الساحة الداخلية هما الضمانة الوحيدة للصمود وتحقيق الاستقرار.
ونُشر هذا الاتصال في سياق تصاعد التوترات الإقليمية مع انعكاساتها المحتملة على الداخل اللبناني، خاصة في ظل الأحداث الأخيرة في جنوب سوريا، وتأثيرها على المكونات المجتمعية في لبنان، ولاسيما الطائفة الدرزية ذات الصلة التاريخية بأهالي السويداء وجبل العرب.

In a strategic effort to strengthen regional and domestic stability, Lebanese Prime Minister Dr. Najib Salam initiated a significant phone call with Druze Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblatt. Both leaders emphasized the importance of preserving Syrian territorial unity, urging all stakeholders to align under the umbrella of the Syrian state.
An official statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office highlighted their commitment to wisdom, balance, and restraint in addressing ongoing developments—both in Syria and within Lebanon—in order to prevent any internal unrest or reactive measures that could destabilize the nation.
Prime Minister Salam praised Jumblatt’s crucial role in safeguarding Lebanon’s internal peace, noting his collaboration with various political and social actors across Lebanese communities to ensure national cohesion and preempt potential disruptions to public order.
Salam underscored that restoring the state’s authority and legitimacy is the cornerstone to resolving current crises. He stressed that national solidarity and reinforcing domestic foundations are vital to securing long-term stability.
This high-level coordination comes amid rising regional tensions, especially those tied to military and political developments in southern Syria, which could reverberate internally in Lebanon—particularly affecting the Druze community with its deep historical ties to Sweida and Jabal Al-Arab.
