Background
The Enumerators will work under the project “Strengthening Local Climate-sensitive and universal WaSH capacities using and disseminating the Green Humanitarian Aid Approach” funded by GFFO and implemented in partnership with arche noVa.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
The Enumerator will be in charge of collecting data across various locations in Akkar smallholder farmers for the selection of the project’s beneficiaries.
The Enumerators reports directly to Mada’s Technical Coordinator and works on a daily basis based on request.
Main tasks
- Induction and training: Attend an induction meeting with Mada’s MEAL Manager and participate in a session on clean data collection and proper communication with the smallholder famers, ensuring adherence to Mada’s code of ethics and PSEA policies.
- Stakeholder engagement: Contact a list of stakeholders including the Union of Municipalities, Municipalities, Ministry of Agriculture, Cooperatives, and others to collect data regarding the population and lists of farmers.
- Field assessments: Conduct detailed technical assessment through field visits, filling out surveys with farmers to collect accurate data.
- Reporting and updates: Debrief the Technical Coordinator and/or MEAL Manager on the progress of data collection and any challenges faced during the process (daily updates).
- Data verification: Conduct phone calls to verify collected data when necessary. If further validation is required, conduct additional field visits for validation purposes.
- Data submission: Submit accurate and complete data within specified timelines, adhering to quality standards in data collection.
Minimum Qualification and Experience
- Full adherence to Mada’s mission and vision, as well as Ethics Code and PSEA policies
- Previous experience in data collection (familiarity with Kobo App preferred)
- A degree in Agriculture, Rural Development or related field
- Good Organizational, coordination and time-management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent in Arabic, good English level
- Proactive, flexible and dynamic
- Have a car and driving license
Timeframe / Duration
The Enumerators are expected to begin work in July / August 2024 for a period of 40 working days across four months for each enumerator.
