أسئلة مشروعة تشغل بال اللبنانيين!

اليوم نحن في قلب الحرب والعداد ماشي، والناس باتت تُعايِش هذا الواقع الأليم مع تمنياتها أن تنتهي المأساة اليوم قبل الغد.

على الرغم من هذه الأوقات العصيبة، فإن أكثر ما يشغل بال اللبنانيين، هو ما ستكون عليه أوضاع البلد في اليوم التالي، وبشكل خاص هذه العناوين:

على أي أسس ستتوقف الحرب،

كيف سيعاد تشكيل السلطة، أي رئيس للجمهورية أي حكومة، وأي دولة،

كيف سيكون حزب الله، سلاح بلا سلاح.. وما هو دوره في المعادلة الداخلية،

كيف ستكون علاقة القوى السياسية في ما بينها،

هل هناك قدرة على إنتاج سلطة،

هل سيكون هناك إتفاق على مشروع الدولة،

وما هو دور لبنان وكيف سيكون مستقبله،

نَبقى في البلد، نستثمر، نعيد بناء مؤسساتنا، أو نهاجر ونترك كل شيء وارءنا.

مما لا شك فيه، أن هذه عينة صغيرة من أسئلة كثيرة تتجمع لدى المواطن اللبناني الذي كوته نار النزاعات على مدى عقود من الزمن والذي خيبت آماله القوى السياسية وكل الطموحات التي رسمت بإتفاقات بعد حروب وأزمات.

صحيح أن هذه مسألة سياسية بحتة لكن طرحها في برنامج إقتصادي هو أمرٌ مشروع، كون لا إقتصاد مستدام ومزدهر ولا وظائف وفرص عمل من دون إستقرار سياسي ومن دون دولة قوية سيدة مستقلة ذات أهدف بعيدة المدى.

نعم، إنها أسئلة مشروعة، والإجابة عليها تعطي صورة واضحة عن مستقبل لبنان.

لكن بين هذا وذاك، يبقى القول أن أي طرف سياسي مهما إشتد ساعده ومهما وضع عناوين براقة لأهدافه، فإن الإمتحان الأساسي هو في مدى قدرته على مد اليد لشريكه في الوطن والقدرة على بناء ثقة متبادلة على الأقل في أمور أساسية تطال بناء الدولة وحماية كرامة الإنسان والحفاظ على الكيان ولبنان.

Today, we find ourselves in the heart of the war, and the clock is ticking. The Lebanese people are enduring this painful reality, hoping the tragedy will end sooner rather than later.

Despite these difficult times, the primary concern on the minds of Lebanese people is what the country will look like the day after the war. In particular, they are preoccupied with the following questions:

Key Questions Occupying the Minds of Lebanese People

Lebanese people continue to ask legitimate questions about their country's future amidst the ongoing challenges. Some of the most pressing include:

1. On what basis will the war end? Will there be a definitive agreement, or will tensions persist?
2. How will power be restructured? Will there be a new President of Lebanon and a government that satisfies all parties involved?
3. What will happen to Hezbollah? Will its weaponry remain part of Lebanon’s internal political equation? How will its role evolve?
4. How will political relations between parties unfold? Will there be agreement, or will divisions continue?
5. Will there be an ability to form a new governing authority? Will Lebanon’s political system be rebuilt?
6. Is there any potential for an agreement on the state’s project? How will the country’s future be managed?
7. What role will Lebanon play moving forward? Should Lebanese people stay, invest, rebuild, and restore institutions, or will emigration remain an option?

These questions reflect just a small fraction of the concerns of Lebanese citizens, who have suffered from decades of conflict and political disappointments. Although these issues are inherently political, addressing them in an economic context is entirely justified. No sustainable, prosperous economy and no job opportunities can exist without political stability and a strong, sovereign, independent state with long-term goals.

Indeed, these are legitimate questions, and the answers to them will provide a clear picture of Lebanon's future.

Lebanon’s Economic Future: What Lies Ahead?

There’s no doubt that the political questions surrounding Lebanon will deeply affect its economic future. Lebanon cannot achieve sustainable economic growth without political stability, and creating job opportunities is impossible without a strong, independent state that guarantees its sovereignty.

Raising these questions within the framework of an economic program is not merely political; it is part of the broader economic discussion that cannot be overlooked. Lebanon’s economic future will heavily rely on the political capacity to create shared solutions for building the state and safeguarding the dignity of its citizens while ensuring the stability of the Lebanese entity.

The Bigger Equation: Challenges for Political Parties

In the end, the key political equation in Lebanon is how well the various political forces can cooperate and come together. The true test for every political party is its ability to extend a hand to its partners within the country and build mutual trust on essential matters, such as state-building, protecting human dignity, and preserving Lebanon’s sovereignty.

No matter how powerful or ambitious a political party is, it will face a major challenge in unifying visions on critical issues that affect Lebanon’s future. The answers to these questions will determine Lebanon’s future and the form of the state in which the Lebanese people will live.
