وزيرة التربية والتعليم العالي الدكتورة ريما كرامي تستقبل وفداً إماراتياً وتبحث سبل التعاون لتعزيز التعليم في لبنان
استقبلت وزيرة التربية والتعليم العالي، الدكتورة ريما كرامي، وفدًا إماراتيًا رفيع المستوى، وذلك بعد أن اختار الصندوق الإماراتي للتنمية عددًا من الوزارات، من بينها وزارة التربية والتعليم، لاستقبال مقترحات بهدف تقديم الدعم. وقد قامت الوزارة بإرسال ثلاثة مقترحات بناءً على طلب الصندوق.
وفي إطار الاستعداد للعام الدراسي المقبل، عقدت الوزيرة كرامي عدة لقاءات مع المناطق التربوية في بيروت والشمال وجبل لبنان، بهدف دراسة احتياجات المدارس الرسمية من المعلمين في العام الدراسي القادم. وفي وزارة التربية، تم عقد اجتماع لبرنامج المرونة متعدد السنوات (MYRP) برئاسة الوزيرة كرامي، وبحضور رئيس الشراكات الاستراتيجية في مؤسسة “التعليم لا ينتظر” – Education Cannot Wait، ناصر فقيه، بالإضافة إلى أصحاب المصلحة الرئيسيين من الوزارة والمنظمات الشريكة مثل اليونيسف، الأونيسكو ومنظمة إنقاذ الطفل.
وأكّدت كرامي على “أهمية التعاون بين جميع الأطراف”، مشددة على التدخلات التي تركز على المرونة والاستدامة وفقًا لرؤية الوزارة، للوصول إلى الأطفال الأكثر حاجة، خاصة في ما يتعلق بضمان وصول الخدمات التعليمية إلى المناطق المتضررة من الأزمات.
وفي زيارة تعارف، قام المدير الجديد للمكتب الإقليمي لليونسكو، باولو فونتاني، بزيارة الوزيرة كرامي، حيث تم بحث سبل التعاون بين الوزارة والمنظمة الدولية.
كما ترأست الوزيرة كرامي الاجتماع الرابع للصندوق الائتماني للتنمية TREF SMB، في إطار نافذته المخصصة للتعليم غير النظامي. وأكدت على “أهمية متابعة التعليم غير النظامي ضمن رؤية وزارة التربية، وفي إطار التزام الوزارة بجودة هذا النوع من التعليم”. كما تلقت دعوة من فاعليات وممثلي جمعيات من مدينة طرابلس لرعاية وحضور مهرجانات فنية وثقافية في المدينة بمشاركة كشاف التربية الوطنية، وواعدة بـ “مواكبة مبادرتهم وتقديم كل الدعم اللازم”.
من جهة أخرى، التقت كرامي أعضاء مجلس أمناء وقف المركز الإسلامي برئاسة فوزي أدهم، حيث تم بحث وضع الكلية القانوني، كما التقت وفدًا من نقابة أطباء الأسنان في لبنان ورابطة المتقاعدين في الجامعة اللبنانية. وأخيرًا، استقبلت الوزيرة كرامي النائب محمد سليمان الذي عرض شؤونًا تربوية تهم منطقة عكار.
Minister of Education Dr. Reema Karamy Receives UAE Delegation and Discusses Cooperation to Enhance Education in Lebanon
The Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Reema Karamy, received a high-level delegation from the UAE after the UAE Development Fund selected several ministries, including the Ministry of Education, to submit proposals for support. In response, the Ministry sent three proposals as requested by the fund.
As part of the preparations for the upcoming academic year, Minister Karamy held meetings with educational districts in Beirut, the North, and Mount Lebanon to assess the need for teachers in public schools for the next academic year. Additionally, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Education for the Multi-Year Resilience Program (MYRP), chaired by Minister Karamy, with the presence of Nasser Faqih, Head of Strategic Partnerships at the “Education Cannot Wait” foundation, along with key stakeholders from the ministry and partner organizations such as UNICEF, UNESCO, and Save the Children.
Minister Karamy emphasized the “importance of cooperation among all parties,” stressing interventions focused on resilience and sustainability according to the Ministry's vision to reach the most vulnerable children, particularly in terms of ensuring educational services reach crisis-affected areas.
In a courtesy visit, Paolo Fontani, the new director of the UNESCO Regional Office, visited Minister Karamy to discuss cooperation between the Ministry and the international organization.
Furthermore, Minister Karamy chaired the fourth meeting of the Trust Fund for Development TREF SMB, within its window dedicated to non-formal education. She underscored the “importance of following up on non-formal education within the Ministry's vision, and its commitment to the quality of this type of education.” Minister Karamy also received an invitation from community leaders and representatives of associations in Tripoli to sponsor and attend cultural and artistic festivals in the city, with the participation of the National Education Scout. She promised to “support their initiatives and provide all the necessary assistance.”
Additionally, Minister Karamy met with members of the Board of Trustees of the Islamic Center Endowment, chaired by Fawzi Adham, to discuss the legal status of the college. She also met with a delegation from the Lebanese Dentists Syndicate and the Association of Retired Employees at the Lebanese University. Finally, Minister Karamy welcomed MP Mohammad Suleiman, who presented educational issues concerning the Akkar region.
