نفّذت وحدات من الجيش اللبناني، صباح اليوم السبت، حملة مداهمات أمنية موسعة في منطقة العاقبية – قضاء الزهراني، استهدفت تجمعات لسوريين يُشتبه بارتباط بعضهم بجماعات مسلحة تنشط في المنطقة.
وبحسب ما أفاد مراسل “ليبانون ديبايت”، فإن العملية تأتي ضمن إطار خطة أمنية تهدف إلى رصد العناصر المشبوهة التي يُشتبه بتورطها في أنشطة مرتبطة بتنظيمات متطرفة، إضافة إلى ملاحقة الداخلين خلسة إلى الأراضي اللبنانية، أو أولئك الذين لا يحملون إقامات قانونية أو أوراق ثبوتية صالحة.
وتأتي هذه الخطوة بعد تزايد المخاوف من تحركات أمنية مريبة في مناطق جنوبية، ما دفع الجيش إلى تكثيف جهوده في التحقق من هوية الأفراد المقيمين ضمن نطاقات حساسة، خصوصًا في ظل التوتر الإقليمي والتحديات الأمنية المتصاعدة.
وأكدت مصادر عسكرية أن هذه المداهمات ستتواصل في الأيام المقبلة ضمن خطة شاملة لتثبيت الاستقرار ومواجهة أي تهديد أمني محتمل قد يستهدف الداخل اللبناني.
Lebanese Army Raids Syrian Gatherings in Zahrani Over Suspected Armed Ties
In a significant escalation of security efforts, Lebanese Army units launched coordinated raids on Saturday morning targeting Syrian refugee gatherings in the Al-Aaqbiyeh – Zahrani area of South Lebanon.
According to “Lebanon Debate” reporters, the operation was triggered by intelligence indicating the presence of individuals suspected of having affiliations with armed militant groups. In addition, the army is verifying the legal status of those who entered Lebanon illegally or lack proper residency documentation.
Military sources clarified that these raids form part of a broader preemptive strategy to prevent security threats, especially in sensitive southern regions where irregular activity has recently raised concern among security officials.
The army is expected to expand its operations in the coming days, as part of its ongoing mission to enforce law, neutralize possible militant cells, and maintain national security in coordination with judicial and intelligence authorities.
